DETROIT: Virginia Lieutenant Governor Dr Ghazala Hashmi visited Hubb – The Artisan Cafe in Michigan earlier this week, where she met members of the community, including Hyderabad-connected business leaders Jamal Khan and Mohammed Taqiuddin. She was accompanied by Lt Governor Garlin Gilchrist and Dr Theresa Brooks for Senate.
At a round table meet held at Hubb, she reminisced about Hyderabad and highlighted the historic ties between the city and its diaspora in the United States.
Born in Hyderabad, Hashmi moved to the United States with her family at a young age. She also invited the members of the Hyderabadi community to visit her in Virginia.
