Saudi NRIs from Hyderabad Working To Rehab Returning Expats

HYDERABAD: A Gulf Based Social Welfare Alliance Telangana Gulf Non Resident Indians Federation (TGNREF) Telangana Gulf NRI’S Employees Federation formed in Medinah, one of the two Saudi Arabia’s holiest city including Makkah, under the leadership of Mr. Ahmeduddin Owaisi.

The federation is the umbrella organisation for many social outfits that work for the rehabilitation of Telangana State NRI’s returnees.

An exclusively executive body of TGNREF met at a hotel in Hyderabad to observe Eid Milap (Al-Adha) function hosted by the Urdu Editor of T-News and TGNEF India Coordinator Mr. Khaja Quayum Anwar. A galaxy of TGNEF members graced the occasion.

Chief Guest of the event Mr. Mahesh Bigala TRS NRI Cell Coordinator in his keynote address underlined many aspects pertaining to issues related to the retuning NRIs from Saudi.

Mr. Mahesh said: “ at the state level we have very limited access to NRIs, since this segment is solely handled by the Central Government under the Ministry of External Affairs. We could only be able to ascertain their basic problems.

Telangana ruling party TRS working President Mr. K.T. Rama Rao and former Member of Parliament Ms. K. Kavitha took personal interest to resolve many issues”.

“They will constitute the NRI Cell shortly and also formulate the NRIs Policy. TGNREF will be used as a bridge for reaching the people in Saudi Arabia”,he added.

During the meeting, Mr. Ubaid-Ur-Rahman put forward a six-point formula to be addressed by the state government on an ad-hoc basis:

1) Formation of T.S. NRI’s Cell with adequate representation especially from the 7 Gulf States.
2) Replication and extension of existing Governmental policies to the Gulf Returnees,
such as; Health Insurance,  Free Education, Industrial policies, Shaadi Mubarak and other related Welfare schemes offered by the state government.
3) Gulf NRI’s students to be considered on par with domicile.
4) Support for Gulf Start-up hubs, emerging technologies, digital transformation centers.
5) Allotment of double bed room houses or house sites in compliance with local housing board schemes and
6) Allotment of industrial land for SMEs in SEZ.

Mr. Mahesh welcomed these suggestions and assured assistance  while expressing  confidence that the federation TGNREF will be credited and gets the status of government acknowledgment as the only representative from the Gulf NRIs.

Mohammed Ubaid-Ur-Rahman, Mohammed Ali Nayyar, Abdul Hai Siddiqui, Shabaz Farooqui, Mohammed Ashraf, Syed Junaid Rabbani, Abdul Qayyum, Amjad Hussain Zubair, Amer Ashfaq, Mohammed Shameem Kausar, Syed Khaja Viqaruddin, Mir Airf Ali, Syed Rafat Shah, Syed Noman Abdul Majeed, Ateeq Ur Rahman, Mohammed Abdul Razzaq, Khalid Hussain Madani, Qudrath Nawaz, A.R.Saleem, Obaid Bajho and  others were also present on this occasion.o

TGNREF  President Ahmeduddin Owaisi, VP Mohammed Yousufuddin Amjad and GS Engineer Aijaz Ahmed Khan appreciated the efforts of TGNF India Coordinator Khaja Quayum Anwar for hosting the NRI’S meet and thank the federation executives for their participation.
