HYDERABAD: Persistent Systems has opened its third facility in Hyderabad at Phoenix Equinox in Gachibowli, expanding its presence in a city the technology services company says is home to more than 3,000 of its employees.
Announced on October 13, the new facility is designed to support delivery programmes for banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) clients. According to the company, its work will include artificial intelligence (AI) deployment, payments modernisation, cloud platforms and operational resilience.
Focus on AI and regulated financial services
Persistent said the site provides secure, dedicated workspaces for client programmes and areas where its teams can work alongside customers on technology modernisation projects. The company highlighted the requirements of regulated financial institutions, where security, reliability and continuity are central to technology delivery.
As organisations move from AI pilots to systems used in day-to-day operations, technology providers are being asked to combine software engineering with domain expertise and safeguards for critical services. Persistent says the new Hyderabad facility is intended to support that work.
Hyderabad footprint
The company said it already operates offices at WaveRock and Sattva Knowledge City. The Gachibowli facility adds to that presence and, according to Persistent, gives its teams access to the city’s financial institutions, fintech companies and engineering talent.
Persistent did not disclose a separate investment amount or a new hiring target for the facility in its announcement. The opening therefore should not be interpreted as confirmation of a specific number of new jobs.
Company statement
Barath Narayanan, Persistent’s Global BFSI and Europe Geo Head, said financial institutions are increasingly putting AI into production while modernising the systems that underpin their businesses. The company described the new site as a dedicated environment for delivery and closer collaboration with clients.
