Amer Ali Khan Advocates for Educational and Economic Empowerment of Muslims

Amer Ali Khan, News Editor of Siasat and Member of Legislative Council (MLC), stressed the importance of empowering the Muslim community through education and economic stability.

Speaking during a felicitation program organized by Anjuman e Muhabbin e Urdu Telangana at Media Plus Auditorium, Mr Khan highlighted the need for unity and awareness among Muslims, especially in the context of the upcoming 2024 elections.

Khan pointed out the challenges faced by the community and urged them to rise above conspiracies aimed at weakening them socially and economically.He emphasized that economic empowerment is essential for the overall development of the community and that only through stability can they achieve true progress. Khan also touched upon the efforts being made in education, especially for Urdu-speaking students, and highlighted the significant contributions of Muslims in the state’s development.

Reflecting on his own journey in politics, Khan stated that it was never his initial goal to enter politics, but he believes in contributing to policies that benefit the community. He acknowledged the difficult path ahead but expressed optimism that, with sustained effort, Muslims can overcome obstacles and secure their rights.

Khan also criticized attempts to marginalize the community, citing past incidents of violence and social unrest. He called for increased representation in sectors such as education and public service, and stressed the need for unity to ensure the community’s advancement.

As part of his ongoing initiatives, Khan announced efforts to improve access to jobs and training for the youth. He reiterated his commitment to helping uplift the community, both through political channels and grassroots movements, and concluded by expressing hope for a brighter future through collective action and perseverance.

Chairman Wakf Board Azmat ullah Hussaini, Obaidulllah Kotwal, Prof Shukoor, former Minority Commisison Chairman Qamaruddin and heads of different religious and Muslim organizations were also present on this occasion.
