Hyderabad, March 11: The Telangana government will provide ₹1 lakh to each of the 815 mosques across the state, including Hyderabad, to organize Iftar gatherings during Ramzan. The decision was finalized during a high-level meeting at Praja Bhavan on Tuesday, chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu and Telangana Government Advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir.
The meeting also reviewed preparations for Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s Dawat-e-Iftar, scheduled to be held at Lal Bahadur Stadium in Hyderabad on either March 21 or 22.

TMREIS President Fahim Qureshi, Special Secretary for Minorities Welfare Tafseer Iqbal, and Minorities Welfare Department Director Yasmeen Basha were present at the review.
In addition to the Iftar arrangements, the High-Power Committee approved the immediate release of ₹21 crore to clear three months’ pending salaries for Imams and Muezzins across Telangana.
