Startup ‘Magically Turns Your Old Clothes Into New’ For Donating This Ramadan

Magic Klean launches “The Joy of Giving” initiative during the holy month Ramadan

Hyderabad, May 15: A young startup MagicKlean aims to help the needy this Ramadan in its own niche way. Specializing in laundry, the startup collects used and old clothes from door to door, washes and irons them at its laundries, and distributes them among the needy and the deserving people.

Dubbed as “The Joy of Giving”, this is a charitable initiative by the startup during the holy month Ramadan. Magic Klean is targeting individuals, families, and corporates and urging them to donate their old clothes. These clothes are picked up by the Magic Klean laundry where they go through the wash-clean-iron-pack cycle.

The objective of the ‘The Joy of Giving’ initiative is to give the needy not just use clothes but to give them in a new condition by repairing, washing, ironing them. And, finally packing them and giving in a dignified manner to the needy.

According to startup Founder Yousuf Khan, everyone gives in charity during Ramadan, and giving used clothes to the poor in a way they look new and dignified is a better way of helping them in charity.“

Yousuf’s idea is admired by his friends and family, who are supporting him in this initiative this Ramadan, but Yousuf plans to continue helping people through this initiative throughout the year with his laundry startup.

To encourage people to donate old and used clothes, the startup is offering 10% to its customers, who partake in the ‘The Joy of Giving’ initiative.

Magic Klean started as an on-demand, door-to-door pickup and delivery, dry cleaning and laundry service based in Hyderabad. In Ramadan, the startup will do its ‘magic’ to turn the old and used clothes look as good as new, before donating them. One can fill one’s bag with clothes to be washed, use the GPS-based Magic Klean mobile app to select a pickup and delivery location and wait for the magic to happen.
