Hyderabad, November 17: What’s makeup without inner beauty, and what’s the joy of luxury without the heart to lend a helping hand. While most of the affluent youth are almost drenched in the deceptive aura of ‘living the luxury’ sans a few exceptions, a group of youngsters are setting an example by blending their luxurious business with the puritan thoughts of social empowerment. And what better way to break the stereotype than bolster the cause of empowering girls who – crippled by their socio-economic status and lack of financial fortitude – can barely keep their face in the so called ‘evolving’ and ‘modern’ society.
In a novel effort, FJ Luxuriate – a one of its kind makeup studio on the bustling downhill of Road No. 1, Banjara Hills correlates to this stigma. While the warmly illuminated entrance, the ornate interiors, and the exquisite offerings refuse to hint at the nobler agendas behind the studio’s initiatives, FJ Luxuriate is all set to set precedents of nobility from its maiden day. Despite having an affluent clientele right from its launch including the family and friends of the team, extended social circles, many of them who make the who’s who of Hyderabad, the young brides to be, and their kinship, the luxurious makeup studio has announced to reserve a part of its income to helping the underprivileged girls. At its inaugural event held on Sunday, the studio announced its plans to tie up with different social welfare organizations in the city to implement its noble agenda.
But that’s not the only distinct characteristic. It also has the distinction of having artists trained by certified experts from different countries across the globe. More notably, “the studio artists were trained by certified experts including top Brazilian artists Raphael Oliver and Michelly Palma, Los Angeles based Tamanna Roshan, Arab artist Najila Alobaid among others. Prominent Delhi based certified experts including Atul Chauhan, Sakshi Urvashi, and renowned Dekhi based hairstylist Amit have also trained our artists”, says Ms Sheema Naseer, Chairman and Creative Head FJ Luxuriate – The Makeup Studio.
“A lot of girls despite the changing socio economic landscape of the city, still remain under served when it comes to meeting their needs or providing education”, said Ms Sheema Naseer while interacting with this publication during the inauguration ceremony.
According to the Director Mrs. Mona Farooqui “the income from the posh studio will be used to help the aggrieved and deserving families”. The make up studio literally attempts to make up for the socio-economic demarcation between the average and the poor. Besides cosmetic makeover, we are working to help the needy and the poor – girls in particular. We have to do our bit – everyone has to – to make a difference”, she asserts.
According to Ms Sheema Farooqui, the luxurious makeup studio uses “coveted products from top brands” and offering services eponymous to its name – “from a complete makeover to adorning the bride for living the wedding of her dreams”.
Many eminent personalities from different walks of life attended the inaugural event. Head makeup artist Ayshra Osman, makeup artist Ms Iman Zaidi, Ms Reema Farooqui and others were also present on this occasion.
