Chicago-based Hyderabadis hosted a felicitation ceremony in honor of Dr. Ausaf Sayeed, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia and former Consul General of Chicago. Hosted by Syed Ashfaq Hussain in Naperville, community leaders, former Lt. Governor Evelyn Sanguinetti, Senator Laura Clymore Ellman, Dr. Benjamin M. White, Councilman, Dr. Suresh Reddy, Trustee, Oak Brook were among those in attendance.
On this occasion, Ashfaq Syed was also congratulated on getting American citizenship. In his short address, Dr. Ausaf Sayeed thanked the Indian community. It is worth mentioning here that Dr. Ausaf Sayeed has been one of the most popular Consul Generals in the history of Chicago.
He has been in perennial communication with the people of Chicago even after his appointment as Saudi Arabia’s ambassador. Architect Abdul Rahman Saleem and Ali Khan were also present on this occasion.
