Elon Musk’s new Tesla Roadster has sent the internet into overdrive after a demonstration showed a rocket-equipped version performing a dramatic mid-air flip. But while the real-world car remains a future product, you can put your own reflexes to the test right now in an arcade-style driving challenge.
YOUR CHALLENGE STARTS HERE
🚀 Think you can handle the Rocket Roadster?
Free browser game · Play on your phone or computer
In the Tesla demonstration, a specially equipped Roadster used compressed-gas thrusters to make a brief airborne manoeuvre. That does not mean ordinary drivers can buy a flying car today, and it is certainly not something to try on public roads. Tesla’s production plans and specifications should be checked against official company announcements.
Could you handle a flying-car driving test?
Imagine traffic ahead, a limited supply of thrust and only a split second to decide when to jump. That is the spirit behind Rocket Roadster, an arcade game available on GAWAH Games and developed by Media Plus.
The challenge is simple: time your thrusts to clear traffic, keep moving and collect floating canisters to replenish your compressed air. It is designed as a quick, pick-up-and-play challenge, with touch controls for mobile players and keyboard controls for desktop play.
How to play Rocket Roadster
- On a phone or tablet: hold the game screen to fire the thrusters.
- On a computer: hold Space or the Up Arrow.
- Watch your air: thrust uses compressed air, so time your jumps.
- Collect canisters: floating canisters help replenish your supply.

Not a real driving licence test
Let’s be clear: Rocket Roadster is a casual browser game, not a driving simulator, flight-training tool or official licence test. It will not teach you to operate a real car or aircraft. The fun is in testing your timing and reactions in a fictional, futuristic road challenge.
What about the Tesla Roadster demonstration?
The rocket-equipped Roadster concept has drawn attention for its futuristic thruster idea and dramatic demonstration. But a short stunt is not evidence that a commercially available flying car is ready for everyday travel. The eventual specifications, production schedule and regulatory status should be checked against official Tesla announcements.
See Tesla’s official Roadster page for company updates.
