Workshop Held at Media Plus for Sri Lankan Officials and Media Personalities

Key Personalities Including Sri Lankan Prime Minister’s Advisor Participate

Hyderabad, July 6: A workshop on social media and Artificial Intelligence was conducted at Media Plus Auditorium on July 6 for senior officials of the Sri Lankan government, prominent figures from print and electronic media, and academic experts. Sharing insights and best practices, Media Plus CEO Syed Khaled Shahbaaz elaborated on the present and future of social media in the age of Artificial Intelligence. The workshop was organized by the Dr. MCR HRD Institute as part of the Ministry of External Affairs Indian Technical & Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Program.

The Sri Lankan delegation included the Sri Lankan Prime Minister’s Media Advisor, Mr. Sugeeswara P. Senadhira; Media Secretary to the Deputy Speaker of the Sri Lankan Parliament, Mr. Wele Kankanamage Prasada Manju; Chief Editor of Sunday Observer, Pramod de Silva; Media Secretary to the Central Province Governor, Maheeshwara Buddhika Bandara Kirindigoda; along with editors from national TV channels and newspapers.

The workshop was part of the “Two-week Training Program on Media Management for Media Professionals from Sri Lanka”, during which officials participated in various sessions followed by cultural programs and sight-seeing.
