Turkish Consul General Calls for Strengthening Family Values and Moral Education at Mukarram Jah School Celebration

Hyderabad, October 6: During his address at the 37th Founder’s Day of Mukarram Jah School, His Excellency Orhan Yalman Okan, Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye, highlighted the critical role of education in shaping responsible, moral, and visionary generations. Speaking to the gathering, he expressed his appreciation for the school’s commitment to fostering well-rounded individuals.

“We live in an age of rapid scientific and technological development. While these advancements make life easier, they also carry numerous threats, especially for children who are exposed to harmful content on the internet and social media,” remarked the Consul General.

He expressed concern about the subliminal messages and propaganda affecting young minds, particularly regarding the devaluation of traditional family structures.

Emphasizing the significance of the family unit, he said, “There is a concerted effort to undermine the basic family structure of male and female, which is being targeted by global media. Protecting this structure and instilling moral and virtuous values in our children is essential to ensuring their growth as responsible individuals, beneficial to themselves, their families, and society.”

He praised Mukarram Jah School, its leadership, and its teachers for their dedication to shaping young minds.

“At this point, the most important investment any country can make is in education and teachers. I sincerely appreciate the efforts of Mukarram Jah School and wish its students great success,” he said.

The Consul General also reflected on the importance of love, saying, “In life, the greatest achievement is not awards or accolades but the love we share with those around us. Love and be loved in abundance”, urging them to uphold family values and nurture the next generation with love and responsibility.
