Hyderabad, March 27: Hyderabad’s power circles gathered under one roof on Wednesday evening as Sultan-ul-Uloom Education Society (SUES) hosted a grand Iftar soirée at its Banjara Hills campus. With an air of festivity and camaraderie, the event saw the crème de la crème of the city including bureaucrats, politicians, diplomats, philanthropists and business elites come together to celebrate the spirit of Ramadan, embodying the spirit of Hyderabad’s famed Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb.


The evening unfolded with an elaborate Iftar spread, followed by a sumptuous feast that had guests indulging in the culinary grandeur of the city. Conversations flowed effortlessly over dates, kebabs, biryani and refreshing fruit juices as the guests exchanged greetings and goodwill.














Among the prominent personalities spotted at the event were Hyderabad Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, Mohammed Ali Shabbir, Advisor to Government for SC, ST, BC and Minorities, Jayesh Ranjan IAS, Special Chief Secretary to Government, Director General of Police Srinivas Reddy, Commissioner of Police C.V. Anand, former Government Advisor A.K. Khan, IPS, Special Chief Secretary to Telangana Government Rajat Kumar, Chairman of Telangana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Commission Kodanda Reddy, Minorities Commission Chairman Tariq Ansari, former Government Secretary for Minorities Welfare Omer Jaleel, IAS, K.V. Ramchander Rao, V. Hanumanth Rao, Trustee Mukarram Jah Trust for Education and Learning Nawab Faiz Khan.
The diplomatic presence was marked by British Deputy High Commissioner in Hyderabad Gareth Wynn Owen, Turkish Consul General in Hyderabad Orhan Yalman Okan, Telangana Waqf Board Chairman Azmathullah Hussaini, TGMREIS Vice Chairman Faheem Qureshi, Padma Shri Mohammad Ali Baig, Raunaq Yar Khan, heritage activist Anuradha Reddy, and Nalini Raghurajan also graced the event.
Guests were graciously welcomed by SUES Chairman Zafar Javeed and SUES Joint Secretary Aamer Javeed. Society’s Board members, Dr. Mir Akbar Ali Khan (Treasurer), Mr. Ibrahim Ali Siddique and Mr. Akheel Ahmed.
