Call for Educational, Economic, and Social Upliftment of Muslims

Prominent voices from various sectors have expressed concerns over the socio-economic and educational challenges faced by the Muslim community worldwide. Speaking at an event organized by Faiz-e-Aam Trust to mark its 41st year of charitable service, intellectuals and philanthropists called for transformative measures to address the community’s economic and educational backwardness.

Mr. Amir Ali Khan, MLC and Editor of Siasat Daily, emphasized the critical importance of education. He noted, “No community can progress without education, and Muslims must prioritize improving their educational standards.” He proposed establishing specialized initiatives to promote literacy and higher education in underserved areas. Economic issues also featured prominently in the discussions. Mr. Khan advocated for efficient use of land and natural resources, suggesting the establishment of solar power plants in every district to drive development through renewable energy.

The event brought together notable personalities, including Prof. S.A. Shukoor, Sada-e-Hussaini Editor Mr. Jaffer, Mr Riyaz, Mr Maqsoom Mohiuddin and Gawah Weekly Editor Dr. Syed Fazil Hussain Parvez. They commended Mr. Iftekhar Hussain, who has spearheaded Faiz-e-Aam Trust’s efforts to support the community through education and charity initiatives. Participants proposed several forward-looking strategies, such as skill development programs, business support schemes, and community welfare projects. One speaker emphasized the need for collaborative efforts to develop policies that ensure progress for Muslims across all sectors. The discussions underscored the urgency of focusing on education, economic self-reliance, and political awareness. The speakers called for collective action, driven by vision and determination, to not only overcome current challenges but also secure a prosperous future for the community.
