J.S. Ifthekhar is asenior journalist with over four decades of experience. He cut his teeth in journalism at the Indian Express before moving to The Hindu and was also associated with the Siasat Daily, Deccan Chronicle, Telangana Today, The Indian Express, Onlooker magazine, Newstrack, Detective Digest, and the Siasat.com among others. He is the author of several books including “Poets and Writers: Gems of Deccan”, “Haj: The Spirit Behind It” and “Hyderabad: The NawabiCity on the Move”. Mr. Ifthekhar also meticulously translated several books from Urdu to English, including “Clarifications of Unwarranted Objections onIslam” authored by Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani, “Hyderabad… Down Memory Lane” authored by senior High court advocate Ghulam Yazdani and works of historian Dawood Ashraf.
