- Infertility Experts Inaugurate IFS Telangana Chapter
- Call To Project India’s Research & Development at International Level
On 13th August 2018, Indian Fertility Society conceived its Telangana State chapter in a formal ceremony held at Hotel MariGold in Begumpet. While the birth of the Telangana State Chapter leases hope for field experts and infertility specialists in Telangana, it also aims to provide platform for research scholars and practicing specialists to explore evolving avenues of infertility treatment and medicine.
Infertility experts from different health institutions took the opportunity to urge research scholars and infertility specialists calling upon them to intensify their research on fertility medicine and procedures and present it at international forums. The presented “research works can help field experts garner recognition for India’s fertility research and expertise at prestigious platforms outside India” and add more credibility to Indian works in the area.
Addressing the inaugural program of Indian Fertility Society’s Telangana, founder Secretary and past President of IFS Dr. Kuldeep Jain said “field experts and scholars can benefit from the Europe’s upcoming prestigious ESHRE Campus workshop that is scheduled to take place in New Delhi on 16th September.” The European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, popularly known as ESHRE campus meeting, is jointly being organized by IFS at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
Speaking after lighting the lamp to formally inaugurate the IFS Telangana State chapter Dr. Roya Rozati said “IFS Telangana marks the 23rd chapter of IFS across the country. It will serve as a platform for leveraging research and development in the field of infertility medicine and treatment.” She said India factors as one of the best places for treatment due to its “low cost and effective quality procedures made possible by the richness in academics and standardized teaching in embryology.”
Expert talks on optimizing the success rate in UI, treating anomalies in fertility outcome, and recent trends in managing male infertility were also organized. A panel discussion on half-truth and untruth facts on surrogacy was also organized.
A slew of programs focusing on exchange of knowledge and awareness will be organized by IFS in different parts of India till December as part of its theme “OUTREACH” aimed at spreading knowledge and awareness amongst doctors so that more infertility patients have access to specialists.
14th Annual Congress on Indian Fertility Society titled FertiVision 2018 will be held in Kochi from 14th – 16th December at Le Meridien it was announced. Pre-conference workshops on Andrology, Genetics, Embryology, Hands on Embryo transfer, Live endoscopic program and The Ovary-House boat CME will be organized supplementing the special workshops by the International Fertility society, ESHRE and Middle East Fertility society. Nearly 2500 delegates from across India, Srilanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Middle east countries and African nations are expected to participate in this conference.
IFS President Dr. Gouri Devi, founder Secretary and Past President Dr. Kuldeep Jain, Secretary General Col. Pankaj Talwar, Joint Secretary Dr. Meera Raj Gopal, Dr. Lakshmi Krishna Leela, Dr. Padmaja and others were also present on this occasion.
