Hyderabad, October 26: Ahead of the 2023 Assembly Elections in the state, the Ahle e Hadith sect of the Muslim community pledged their support to the Congress party. The delegation presented a charter of demands to Mr Zafar Javeed, Convenor of the Telangana Congress Minority Declaration Committee on Thursday. The support of the Ahle-e-Hadith community, which has significant representation in the Telangana State, is a shot in the arm for Congress. Earlier this month, the party held several meetings with representatives of different minority groups, assuring the minorities to incorporate their demands in the party’s manifesto for the ensuing elections. The Ahle Hadith has announced their support to the congress party on seats other than those contested by the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen.
