Robotic Laser Cataract Surgery Center Inaugurated at Dr Akbar Eye Hospitals

Hyderabad, October 22: An ultra modern robotic laser cataract surgery center was inaugurated on Sunday at Dr Akbar Super Specialty Hospitals at Asif Nagar, Mehdipatnam. The center, part of the new hospital premises, features the world’s best Catalys Precision Laser System. The Laser guided system is used to perform high precision robot-assisted cataract surgeries, said senior ophthalmologist Dr. Altaf Akbar.

Speaking after inaugurating the new premises, he said “the new technique allows a blade-free treatment of cataract, and does not require any injections to be administered to the patient.”

Additionally, the hospital also features LASIK  treatment. The Lasik treatment enables vision correction in patients with the use of laser technology. It can also be used for correction of cornea-related vision problems including myopia, hyperopia, and can be used to cure astigmatism.”
