In a global celebration of Milad Un Nabi ﷺ, the 4th Annual International Conference titled “Ikisvi Sadi Seerat Un Nabi ﷺ Ki Ahmiyat” was held online on September 15, 2024. Organized by the Anjuman e Ilm o Adab and the South Asia Cultural Society of Chicago, in collaboration with the American Federation of Muslims of Indian Origin and the University of Sialkot, Pakistan, the event aimed to promote unity, kindness, and empathy in line with the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.Under the supervision of Dr. Ghousia Sultana, Executive Director of Anjuman e Ilm o Adab, and chaired by Dr. Riyaz Uddin Kashmiri, the conference featured distinguished speakers and poets from across the globe.
The chief guest, Prof. Dr. Khaja Ikramuddin from India, and other notable participants including Farah Ghiasuddin, Secretary, set the tone for a rich exchange of thoughts on how the Prophet’s ﷺ teachings resonate in today’s world.The event began with a recitation of the Holy Quran by Farhan Shabbir Khan, followed by a rendition of Hamd-e-Baari Taala by Tajammul Taaj Fatima. A significant portion of the program was dedicated to the poetic tradition, with participants from India, Pakistan, and the U.S., including renowned poets such as Prof. Udav Mahajan Bismil, Dr. Rauf Qair, and Ghulam Saquib, delivering Naats that celebrated the life of the Prophet ﷺ.
In her address, Dr. Ghousia Sultana emphasized the importance of kindness, empathy, and generosity as core values taught by the Prophet ﷺ. She highlighted that the goal of the conference was to foster an environment of care and support within communities, encouraging mutual respect and understanding.”The basic purpose of this international conference is to involve students and communities to come together, serve humanity, and reflect the values exemplified by the teachings of our beloved Prophet ﷺ,” Sultana noted.
The conference succeeded in bringing together Islamic scholars, poets, and participants from various parts of the world, contributing to the shared vision of building unity and positive relationships that uphold the ideals of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
