Community Welfare, Cultural & Cricket Excellence Awards Presented by CCCA

Jeddah: Community, Cultural and Cricket Excellence Association (CCCA) have been formed by few members of expatriate community of Jeddah. With the launching ceremony they gave a brief introduction and announced and felicitated their awards for the first year at a local restaurant here in Jeddah.

Distinguished guests and representatives of different forums from the sub-continent community attended the ceremony in large number.

The function started with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Hafiz Abdullah, Aamir Abdul Ghaffar anchored the program in three parts, starting with Hyderabad Pain & Palliative Care awareness with brochure launching and Excellence Awards for the three categories Community, Cultural & Cricket than the entertainment with light music by the local artists from Jeddah.

Mirza Qudrath Nawaz Baig welcomed the guests and gave a brief introduction of the launching of “Hyderabad Pain and Palliative Care Trust” (HPPCT) in Telangana State in association with Al-Ryan International Polyclinics, Anas Vadakkengara Kalikavu further explained in detail about the Palliative care and how it works. He further said that there are more than 700 Palliative Care centers in the state of Kerala and now they are going to launch in Hyderabad.

Qudrath Nawaz Baig said in his address that Pain and Palliative care (P&P) is the care given to the old age patients to improve their quality of life. It also serves the patients who have serious or life-threatening diseases, such as cancer, etc.

The goal of palliative care is to prevent or treat, as early as possible, the symptoms and side effects of the disease and its treatment, in addition to the related psychological, social, and spiritual problems. Palliative care is also called comfort caresupportive care, and symptom management & to give at least a smile to the patients with chronic disease he said.

Qudrath Baig and Anas Kalikavu answered the questions before the launching of the Pain and Palliative care brochure which contained the membership form & about the concept of P & P Care service.

Mir Mahmood Ali, Credit Control Manager at Al Ryan International Polyclinic and chairman of the CCCA expressed his views about the concept of CCCA to encourage & motivate the community members in the field of cricket, community welfare service and cultural activities. He said Aijaz Ahmed Khan, the president of India forum is the brain child behind this event.

He thanked Al-Ryan Policlinic for sponsoring and supporting the cause of Pain and Palliative care trust in Hyderabad and for the excellence awards to the sub-continent community in this part of the Kingdome of Saudi Arabia.

Mahmood Ali added that the trust has been registered in Hyderabad and it has a bank account opened for the donations. It is a Non Profitable and Non Political Trust with an aim of earning reward from Allah (SWT) in Aakhrath (End of life). He appealed to the community for the donations from Zakat of Ramadan and other type of help from the well-wishers.

He further said that this excellence awards function will be held on a yearly basis and we will honor the best talented persons but there will criteria will be followed and the jury will be decide 75%  & by the community 25%.

T.P.Shuhaib Thazathe CEO Al Ryan international polyclinics the sponsor and the initiator of the Hyderabad P & P Trust appreciated the efforts of CCCA Chairman Mir Mehmood Ali  and assured his cooperation for this noble cause.

Ramnarayan Iyer Executive Editor, Saudi Gazette, said we speak a lot about the help of the community, but do not translate it in to reality. He advised the Hyderabadi community to grow fast because in this materialist world we are no concern about us than the others. He thanked Al-Ryan international Polyclinic for taking the initiative of educating and supporting the people who are the core that keeps this program alive & he had appreciated the idea of CCCA Excellence Awards to motivate the community.

Aijaz Ahmed Khan president, India Forum and Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA), said this is his vision of promoting the community. He further said that CCCA is not for only NRIs members but it is included all the sub-continent community living in the Kingdom. He thanked the audience for supporting the Pain and Palliative care noble cause and the nominees who accepted the first CCCA Excellence Award and certificates of excellence.

Five awards were given in the category of Cricket.

Sameer Nidal Khan Director Hala Cricket Academy & My Care Clinic for making cricket to the International repute by inviting the current cricketers from India & Pakistan and providing the perfect conditions for the cricket academy and sponsoring the cricket event.

This award was presented by Aijaz Ahmed Khan. Hamid Rana Afandi received award from Mir Mahmood Ali for his tireless work on the field and off the field contributing his efforts for the umpiring seminars & for long term planning for JCA.

Haroon Abdullah Bin Mahfooz, Executive Secretary – JCA received award from Ameen Ansari of Urdu News for his brain child idea of the SPL 2015 & Saudi Cup 2016.  Mohammed Faseesh, President – TCF received award from Mohammed Abdul Jabbar, President – Telangana NRI Forum Jeddah, for his ability to organized soft ball in Jeddah with excellent team work.

Mohammad Al Qureshi who introduced the soft ball cricket and made it popular in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia while also serving as the initiator of first soft ball inter-city matches since last four years had received his award from T.P. Shuhaib Thazathe.

Two cultural Awards were given to Ustad Nizam Ali Khan by Azhar Zai for making the Ghazal popular in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Wasim Mukadam received award from Mahboob Ali the member of International Indian School Managing Committee for his contribution in latest songs and he his famous among the young generation.

Two Awards were given in the category of community service to Abdul Rahman M. Baig by Mohammed Iqbal, CEO of JCA for his relentless efforts to promote the Indian Community socially, culturally and in the field of community welfare silent services. Mirza Qudrath Nawaz Baig received his award from L. Ram Narayan Iyer.

The program concluded with the cutting of a cake by Aijaz Ahmed Khan whose birthday was also celebrated during the felicitation ceremony. A  soft music program was performed by famous local singers including Mohammed Sikander Ali, Bassam Peeran, Syed Abdul Rafay, Amjad and Wasim Mukadam who enthralled the audience with their songs.

Wasim Mukadam presented a vote of thanks.
