Haj 2016 Application Forms To Be Available From 14th January (Updated)!

The Haj Committee of Hyderabad will make available application forms for Haj 2016 at the Haj Committee office on Nampally from 14th January. The forms will be officially released by Director of Anti-Corruption Bureau Mr. A. K. Khan IPS at the releasing ceremony to be held at 11.00AM the same day.  Desirous aspirants residing in districts can avail from and submit these forms to their respective Haj societies. Secretary – Minority Welfare Mr. Syed Omer Jaleel will grace the occasion. (Content update reflects at the end of this Post)

The Telangana state government is also working to accept the Haj applications online shortly. Applicants are required to deposit Rs. 300 in any branch of State Bank of India or Union Bank of India (details on footnote). According to Prof. S.A.Shukoor, special officer of the State Haj Committee, “the Telangana Haj Committee will continue to accept and process Haj applications for the Andhra Pradesh state also.”

The Haj committee officials, workers and district society heads have been briefed about the process to enable better guidance and smoother processing of the applications. Applicants must however note that the validity date of their passport must be at least 10th March 2017 to be eligible for this year.

The selection of Haj applicants through a draw will take place on any day between 15th and 23rd March 2016. Applicants who have applied thrice consecutively but were not selected in the draw or could not visit for Haj even after selection will be directly qualified as eligible for Haj 2016.

Selected applicants are required to remit their first installment of the fee by 8th April while the Passport, Bank Challan and Medical certificates have to be submitted by 15th April.

Special flights for Hajj are datelined from 4th August 2016 to 5th September 2016. The trip is two-phased. In the first phase, aspirants will be taken to Madina Munawwara. In the second phase, the journey will continue to Makkah Mukkarrama and back home.
