jih-logoFor the first time since the dawn of the 20th century, the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind is organizing its National Members Meet in Hyderabad this December. More than 10,000 core cadre members of the Jamaat from various states across India will gather at the Wadi-e-Huda for the 4-day conference.

According to Jamaat-e-Islami Hind President Mr. Hamid Mohammed Khan, the conference will allow its “members from various states to interact and exchange experiences upon the work and developments of the Jamaat across India. “

“It will also help the Jamaat assess where it needs to work more, and which areas are not explored. The conference is taking place at a time when poverty , intolerance and division of society  is on a high”, he added.

Nearly  2000 women and thousands of youth are reportedly participating in the conference. The Jamaat e Islami Hind organizes the conference once in four years. The last conference was held in the Jamaat’s headquarters in Delhi in 2012, and previously in 2002. This is the second time Hyderabad is hosting the conference with the first being in 1997.
